Staff Introduction: Renee Volk

Renee Volk, Ministry Coordinator

Renee Volk, Ministry Coordinator

Please meet Renee Volk, Door of Hope’s Ministry Coordinator.

Working with Executive Director, Diane Stores, and other staff members, Renee helps prepare for conferences and support groups (we have six this fall!). She provides support in prayer appointments, and reaches out to local churches, including distributing conference information to the churches in that area.

Her work includes updating manuals, communicating with future support group members, and, when possible, joining in support groups (one of her favorite things to do). She also leads worship at our conferences, and at our fundraising benefit dinners.

Renee has 7+ years of prayer ministry training, and has led church worship for more than 20 years. Toting her keyboard, she has been spotted leading worship on various missions trips, even learning songs in Spanish :).  Her work experience includes years of customer service, several administrative support roles, and 15+ years as a server while homeschooling her children.

At Bridgewood Community Church, she served on a worship leadership team for many years, and one-and-a-half years on the church’s main leadership team.

Renee says:

Door of Hope really does represent its name...a door of hope. Support groups, inner healing appointments, and training seminars/conferences are our backbone, and God is busy, as the testimonies that pour from this ministry continue to amaze us. I can personally testify to the power of the prayer appointments, as God has used them to bring me peace in areas that I didn't know were possible.
I am so excited to finally land in one spot, and to be able to use my gifts/skills as a staff member, to serve Jesus in a fuller capacity at Door of Hope.

Originally from Blaine, Renee and her husband of 26 years, Craig, currently live in East Bethel, Minnesota. They have three children, and attend Constance Church in Ham Lake. Renee enjoys nature, music/singing, camping, puzzles, and spending time with family and friends. The Volks have two dogs (their newest puppy is just five months old) and a cat. Renee loves Jesus and is thankful that He has made a way to freedom, and to a personal relationship with the Maker of this great universe.
