Last year, due to new staff members and several new support groups, we had to lease office space upstairs. While this was helpful, it made communication difficult and added expense.
This year we moved everyone back downstairs and made do, while planning to finish space we were already leasing.
Construction has begun, and will enable each staff person to have an office and will provide much-needed group space...right now we have to limit the number of people per support group, due to space restrictions...
The added space will be used for training leaders, support groups, and hosting workshops, as well as giving our staff quiet and productive spaces to work. It’ll be wonderful to move Executive Director, Diane Stores, out of the group room, Assistant Director, Darlene Cook, out of the sitting area, and Development Coordinator, Alissa Holmes, out of a closet.
Thanks to Matt Efteland for volunteering to create the space’s CAD (Computer Assisted Design), and to Dan Wendt (pictured) of Cedar Ridge Church for volunteering to stain our doors. Your help, Matt and Dan, is going to make a huge difference for so many families. Bless you and thank you!
Thanks to all of you who contributed to getting carpet in our new space. You gave $2150, exceeding our need for $1500. Thank you! The additional $650 has been put toward the drop ceiling, which means we only need about $900 to install a drop ceiling and complete the project.
