Jesus is Making a Way in Cloquet

Aimee Anderson, Door of Hope Cloquet Director

Aimee Anderson, Door of Hope Cloquet Director

In January, 78 women attended our Beauty Instead of Ashes conference in Cloquet, MN.

It was a time of discovery, healing and profound hope for many, and gave birth to two Cloquet women’s support groups and many, many trauma recovery prayer ministry appointments.

Since January, Cloquet residents have received 125 Door of Hope ministry services. People’s hunger for hope and transformation is starting to be met in northern Minnesota...

To continue the work, Jesus has brought us a Volunteer Cloquet Director, Aimee Anderson. Welcome Aimee! We thank God for bringing you to Door of Hope!

Aimee shares...

Three years ago I had chronic illness that was completely debilitating. Our boys, whom I had homeschooled, had to be enrolled in public school and I resigned as Women’s Ministry Director at Good Hope Church.

Since then, I have received both emotional and physical healing. Praise God!

I am thankful for my dear friend, Darlene Cook (Door of Hope Associate Director), who introduced me to Door of Hope!

Since my first Door of Hope support group last fall (Authentic Hope), I've had an exciting vision to bring this ministry to my hometown of Cloquet, and have been very thankful to partner with Door of Hope and the growing Door of Hope community!

I want to pass on all that I have learned, and continue this life-long recovery process, side by side with others in the Cloquet area. Doing so brings me so much joy!

For 20 years, I’ve lived in Cloquet with my husband, Sean, and our three sons. Connor is 19, Sam is 18, and Peter will be 16. We celebrate neuro-diversity in this family with two sons on the spectrum. We enjoy all things geek-culture and build joy by playing role-playing games together!

One of our clients, Aimee Anderson, shared a video of her story of healing on Facebook, and in the text below her video clip, she says...

"I have been going to the cities for training to learn more about how trauma affects the body. There is a wonderful curriculum called Authentic Hope, through a place called Door of Hope, and here I have found even more healing, and a lifestyle of joy!

My friend and I are excited to announce there will be a Women's Conference in Cloquet, coming January 2019. We would love to see you there!

We don't have to be what other people have said/done to us, we get to shed off the lies and trauma, and live our lives to the highest potential, because we are tapping into the joy center! It's a whole new way of approaching unresolved trauma... through the joy/control center of our brains!

It's amazing what neuroscience has taught us, how our brains can be renewed... I have never had such a zeal for life before! Here's to expecting good things in 2019! *fireworks*"
