Christy Carmichael, our Prayer Ministry Director, oversees all prayer ministry volunteers and staff, teaches at prayer training events, develops new prayer curriculum, and manages our mentorship program.
As Interim Development Director, Christy oversees all events, marketing and communications, donor development, grants, and community outreach.
Christy has served in direct ministry capacities to children and families for over 30 years. She has worked with women with chronic addictions, helped start a home for girls which provided biblical teaching, schooling and ministry to help them overcome the effects of sin in their lives and families.
She has served in Church Administration for over 15 years and also served on the Board of Directors for a Charter School for 7 years. Christy has served as the Director of Children and Family ministries in two churches for the last 10 years.
Christy has also been involved in Immanuel Prayer for the last 3 years and has helped organize three seminars bringing introductory information to those involved in lay ministry. She has a passion to bring the Immanuel Lifestyle to the body of Christ while also helping people understand how overwhelming childhood experiences can affect our thinking and also receive healing. Christy has recently begun working on her MDiv at The Master’s Institute and has felt called to Join Door of Hope as they pursue wholeness in God’s Family.
