Melani Kompelein, our Children’s Ministries Coordinator, leads and helps develop our Hope-Filled Kids Support Group.

Since I can remember, God’s passion for children has been in my heart. Growing up, I was blessed to serve with my parents (church pastors) at a very poor neighborhood in my home town, Cabo, Mexico. I have a BA in Psychology, with an emphasis in children’s psychology. I moved to Minnesota five years ago, and have been working as a Door of Hope volunteer since 2016.

I enjoy running, reading and spending family time with my husband and our daughter.

Jon Mogck is our Associate Director of Men’s Teens and Family Programming. He oversees and develops men’s, family and teens curriculum and programming, and develops men’s conference materials.

Aimee Anderson, our Cloquet Director oversees and develops Door of Hope ministry in Cloquet, Minnesota.

For 20 years, I’ve lived in Cloquet with my husband Sean and our three sons. Connor is 19, Sam is 18, and Peter will be 16. Our family celebrates neuro-diversity , with two boys on the spectrum. We enjoy all things geek-culture and build joy playing role-playing games together!

Heidi Drummer, our Mankato Program Coordinator, helps develop and manage all Door of Hope programming in Mankato, MN.

I reside in rural Mankato with my husband Andrew of 15 years. My daughters, Elsie and Lyla, are 21 and will be graduating from college this fall. We attend New Creation World Outreach Church.

Margy Johnson, our Mankato Director, leads and oversees all Door of Hope ministries in Mankato, MN

My husband Ted and I have seven living children (one is with Jesus) and live in Mankato MN. We are licensed Adult Foster Care providers and are bio parents, step parents, foster parents, adoptive parents, parents-in-law, and have 14 grandchildren. I enjoy talking with people who have a passion for Immanuel (God with us) and who want to partner with Him to see people get healed and set free. Learning about the latest brain research is exciting to me as well. We attend New Creation World Outreach Church in Mankato. I enjoy activities in God’s beautiful creation.

Tanda Eidsvoog, our Office and Program Assistant, manages the office and helps with program tasks.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Bethel University. I have been a Personal Care Assistant as well as the Women’s Ministry Director at my home church. Beyond that, my main role has been as a stay-at-home mom for the past 15 years.

My husband, Jason, and I have been married for 21 years and have 4 amazing children. We keep ourselves busy with 3 teenagers and our little 8-year-old! We attend Bridgewood Community Church and have been involved in many volunteer roles there.

Dave Nimmo, our Bookkeeper and IT guy works manages our finances and our computer systems.

Besides my position at Door of Hope, I work in Roseville with database and computer systems.

Cathy, the love of my life for the past 45 years, and I reside in Coon Rapids. We attend Emmanuel Christian Center where we help mentor marriages. We have four children and eight grandchildren. In our spare time, we love to travel and visit our kids and grand kids in California, as well as our family here in Minnesota. Our favorite pastime is driving (usually West) with nothing to do but enjoy conversation and coffee together.

Gabby Plaep, our Teen and Young Adult Ministry Coordinator, manages programming and curriculum development for teens and young adults, and assists with curriculum for families. She also supervises teen and young adult program volunteers.

In 2015, I received a BA in Exercise Science with a Minor in Youth Ministry from Hope College. While there, I interned at a Vineyard Church in Michigan, co-leading their youth group and providing fitness classes for the women's ministry.

Besides my position at Door of Hope, I am a Pilates, Zumba, and dance instructor and am pursuing a Masters in Professional Counseling with an emphasis in trauma.

Jodi Hill, our Development Director, is responsible for marketing and communications, development strategy, donor relations, fundraising and publishing.

Jodi, a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, has served in communications and project management with other ministries and has served as a Door of Hope volunteer or consultant since 2015.

She has been married 33 years to her college sweetheart, Rich, and is the proud mother of two adult children, Charles and Emily. Presently, Jodi works and lives part-time in Ecuador. She and her husband attend Church of the Open Door in Maple Grove.

Amy Ziolkowski, our Prayer Ministry Coordinator, schedules ministry appointments, trains prayer ministry volunteers, and assists with all prayer ministry training events.

Amy and her husband are founding members of Bridgewood Community Church. During their 10 years at Bridgewood, Amy trained small group leaders, and worked with Diane Stores in various volunteer roles. Amy and Gary, her husband of nearly 34 years, have three grown children and are members of Emmanuel Christian Center.

Renee Volk, our Development Coordinator, plans and oversees our Twin Cities events, local development volunteers, assists with local church outreach, and coordinates worship for all Door of Hope ministry events.

Originally from Blaine, Renee and her husband of 28 years, Craig, currently live in East Bethel, MN. They have three children, and attend Constance Church in Ham Lake. Renee enjoys nature, music/singing, camping, puzzles, and spending time with family and friends. Renee loves Jesus and is thankful that He has made a way to freedom, and to a personal relationship with the Maker of this great universe.

Darlene Cook, our Associate Director, leads our Women and Children’s programming as well as Finance and Office Administration.

I live in Spring Lake Park and attend Emmanuel Christian Center. I have four adult children, who all have families of their own, with 13 beautiful grandchildren. My husband, Mitch, passed away in May of 2015 from Alzheimer’s disease and pancreatic cancer. I miss him dearly, but I am thankful for the beautiful memories and times we had together. I love to go hiking and kayaking “up north” by Lake Superior as much as possible.
